Because of your hard work and dedication to the arthritis cause, you helped the Michigan Chapter exceed the 2008 Michigan Arthritis Walk goal of $330,000. As of today, we are at $367,472.
Please help Michigan reach $400,000!
If we make this stretch goal, it is likely Michigan will finish among the top three largest
AF fund raising Walks in the Country!

Remember, we have fabulous fundraising prizes. You have until June 30 to turn in your money and be eligible for the fundraising prizes. You can still make a donation online or send in pledge money through the mail.

Walk with us this spring
The Arthritis Walk® is the Arthritis Foundation’s annual nationwide event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. It is a fun and exciting way to help improve the lives of the 2.5 million adults and 10,300 children in Michigan who live with some form of arthritis. Get your company involved or recruit friends and family members to form a team. Best of all, walk in honor of a loved one with arthritis and know you’re making a difference by raising funds to support arthritis research, programs and services which include:- Research initiatives at Michigan universities and hospitals
- Camp Dakota, a weeklong residential camp for children with arthritis
- Juvenile arthritis programs and free parent forums
- Life Improvement Series of Classes throughout the state
Did you know the Arthritis Foundation was founded here in Michigan 60 years ago? Join the Arthritis Foundation in celebrating its 60th Anniversary and raise the bar for fundraising by accepting the Power of 60 Challenge. Should you accept and achieve the challenge, you will be rewarded with a choice of several awards including two that are mission oriented:
- Catch the rays and the surf at the Annual AJAO Conference in Costa Mesa, California (within a few miles of Newport & Laguna Beach and Disneyland Anaheim)
- Have your voice heard at the 2009 Advocacy Conference in Washington D.C.
- Fabulous Weekend for two in Chicago
